The Azimut Grande 32M is the point where the Grande range moves firmly into 100-foot-class superyacht proportions while retaining relatively high planing performance. At 105 feet overall and nearly 300,000 pounds full load, it carries five guest cabins, five crew berths and more than 4,200 gallons of fuel.
Its defining decision is to combine Azimut’s D2P displacement-to-planing hull with conventional twin 2,200-hp MTU propulsion. That gives owners a more traditional machinery arrangement than the newer pod-driven 30M while still publishing speeds up to 27 knots.
The compromise is that the 32M belongs to an earlier Grande design generation. Buyers comparing it with the 30M or 36M should decide whether proven shaft-drive machinery and performance matter more than the newer Infinity Skydeck and transforming-deck concepts.
Published factory figures. Confirm every dimension against the individual yacht and its survey.
The 32M uses GRP and carbon fiber construction with Azimut’s D2P displacement-to-planing hull. The hull is designed to reduce drag and maintain comfort across a wider speed range than a conventional hard-chine planing yacht.
Beam is 23′ 11″ and full-load draft is only 6′ 2″, a relatively shallow figure for a 105-foot yacht. Full-load displacement is approximately 136 tonnes.
Survey the hull, stabilizers, shafts, rudders, struts, through-hulls and carbon/GRP structure carefully. On a yacht of this size and age range, prior yard work and refit documentation can be as important as original construction details.
Twin MTU 2,200-hp diesels drive conventional shafts. Azimut publishes up to 27 knots maximum and 21 knots at cruise.
This conventional drivetrain can be attractive to captains and owners who value global service familiarity and straightforward running gear. It also means shaft alignment, cutless bearings, rudders, gearboxes and seals become core survey items.
Review engine hours in context. A professionally maintained yacht with higher hours and complete records can be a stronger purchase than a lower-hour yacht that sat unused or deferred major service.
Fuel capacity is 16,000 liters, approximately 4,227 US gallons.
The 21-knot published cruise speed is only one operating point. D2P is specifically intended to make lower-speed operation more efficient and comfortable, so owners should evaluate the real performance curve when planning longer passages.
A full bunker represents a major cost and significant added weight. Seasonal planning should use realistic hours, generator consumption and the captain’s normal speed profile.
Up to 27 knots is quick for a 105-foot yacht carrying five guest cabins and three crew cabins. That speed gives the owner flexibility to make weather windows or compress coastal itineraries.
The more important sea-trial question is how the 32M feels at the speeds the yacht will actually use. Test low-speed tracking, transition through the midrange, fast cruise, noise, vibration and stabilizer response.
The 32M uses a traditional superyacht hierarchy with large aft and upper-deck guest spaces, protected crew/service circulation and a full complement of owner and guest accommodations.
Because individual yachts may differ substantially in loose furniture, tender arrangement, shade structures and refits, buyers should inspect the specific build rather than relying on a generic rendering.
At this size, the usability of crew routes and technical access can matter as much as the visible guest decks. A yacht that is hard to service becomes expensive quickly.
The 32M should be treated as a full superyacht survey. Run generators, HVAC, stabilization, shore power, pumps, watermakers, navigation equipment, hydraulics and all tender-handling systems under realistic load.
Many brokerage examples will have undergone refits. Verify drawings, invoices and workmanship for electrical, AV, navigation and interior modifications.
At 105 feet with a 23′ 11″ beam, the 32M requires superyacht dockage with appropriate shore power, fueling and service access. Confirm the berth before purchase, especially in seasonal markets with limited 100-foot inventory.
Draft is 6′ 2″ full load.
Show the 32M’s 100-foot scale: broad aft deck, upper social spaces, five-cabin accommodation, owner areas, crew quarters and the conventional MTU engine room.
Grande 32M pricing is driven by year, refit quality, engine hours, options, interior condition, tax status, flag and location.
Major refits can add value, but only when the work is documented and mechanically meaningful. Cosmetic upgrades should not distract from deferred machinery or class/survey items.

Figures come from this page’s Boat Details fields. Illustration only and not an offer of credit.
Use the yacht-loan calculator to test purchase price, cash down, rate and term before negotiating. On a superyacht-scale purchase, treat the calculator as a planning tool rather than a substitute for underwriting because vessel age, ownership entity, liquidity and transaction structure can materially affect the available terms.
Illustration only and not an offer of credit. Your actual rate and term depend on credit profile, vessel age, loan amount and ownership structure.
The 32M is a strong choice for buyers who want a conventional 100-foot Grande with shafts and 27-knot performance. The 30M is newer and more architecture-driven; the 36M is significantly larger with the Infinity Skydeck and greater crew infrastructure.
On a brokerage 32M, inspect the refit history as closely as the original build. Navigation electronics, AV, soft goods and interiors may have been updated while machinery remains original.
International closing considerations can include flag, VAT/tax, customs, lien searches and ownership entities. Resolve those questions early enough that they do not become last-minute funding issues.
Send the exact 32M listing to Float Finance so purchase structure, survey, insurance and financing can be evaluated together before a large deposit is committed.
Brokerage value depends heavily on year, refit history, hours, tax status and location.
Azimut lists five guest cabins with ten guest berths, plus three crew cabins with five crew berths.
Twin MTU diesels rated at 2,200 hp each drive conventional shafts.
Azimut publishes up to 27 knots maximum and up to 21 knots cruising speed.
Beam is 23′ 11″ and full-load draft is 6′ 2″.
Potentially, subject to lender, borrower and vessel eligibility. Expect survey, insurance, ownership structure and documentation to be central to underwriting.
Yes for most owners. Azimut provides three crew cabins with five crew berths, and the yacht’s systems and scale are designed around professional operation.
No. At 105 feet and roughly 300,000 pounds full load, normal ownership requires a superyacht marina and professional shipyard facilities.
